| Het Filiaal creates various forms of music theatre for family audiences. The productions of Het Filiaal tour with great success not only in Dutch and Flemish theaters, but internationally as well, the group continues to receive much acclaim. Characteristic is the collaboration between director Monique Corvers and Canadian/Hungarian composer Gábor Tarján. In their work they bring together professional actors, musicians and visual artists. The loving precision and sense of humour with which text, music, acting and visuals are then integrated, has come to be the trademark of Het Filiaal. In their productions, Corvers and Tarján greatly enjoy just touching on styles such as musical, world music, vaudeville or a classical concert, while maintaining their own unmistakable signature. Het Filiaal is its own producer. General manager is Paul Smelt.
The company's work is highly appreciated by both adults and children. Het Filiaal gets rave reviews from the (national) press and is recognized and structurally supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture & Science, and by both the Province and City of Utrecht.
